Measuring at home

The string method below gives an estimate. String can stretch or sit too tightly, so confirm your size with a ring sizer or jeweler, especially for a custom or personalized ring.

  1. Choose a Piece of String: Use a piece of non-stretch string to estimate your finger circumference.
  2. Wrap the String Around Your Finger: Gently wrap the string around the finger you wish to measure. Ensure it is neither too tight nor too loose.
  3. Mark the String: Mark the point where the ends of the string meet with a pen or marker.
  4. Measure the String: Lay the string flat and measure the length from the starting point to the mark with a ruler. Note the measurement in millimeters or inches.
  5. Determine Your Ring Size: Refer to the ring size chart below to convert the measurement to your corresponding ring size.
